Meet Buni, my mascot. He’s a water buffalo, inspired by one of Vietnam’s national symbols and a personal connection to my Vietnamese heritage, as I’m half Vietnamese and half Dutch.
Creating Buni has been a way for me to feel more connected to my roots, and I love incorporating that part of my identity into my work. At the same time, he reflects my love for cute, playful visuals. Something that’s a big part of my style as an illustrator.
Buni represents both where I come from and the kind of work I enjoy creating, making him an important part of my personal branding.
Nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Lyanne, a 22-year-old illustrator and graphic designer from the Netherlands. I'm currently studying Mediavormgeving at ROC van Amsterdam, and next year I'll be moving on to Frontend Design and Development at HvA.
I love making playful, cute visuals that bring a little joy. Illustration is where I feel most at home, but I also enjoy graphic design and figuring out how all the pieces of a project come together.
Leafy Maison is my creative home. The name is a quiet nod to my last name, mixed with something soft and nature-inspired. "Leafy" for growth and creativity, "Maison" for a cozy space where I can explore my ideas through design and illustration.
Right now, I'm working on growing both my creative and technical skills, especially in the overlap between design and development. I'm drawn to making things that look good and work well on screen.
Always happy to hear new ideas, collaborate, or just chat!
